A symbol of prosperity and fertility, the Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) is a citrus fruit native to Asia, having been cultivated for thousands of years in China and other parts of Asia.
In ancient China, tangerines were seen as symbols of fertility and were often presented as gifts during wedding ceremonies.
They were also consumed during festivals and festive events, representing a sign of prosperity and well-being.
During the 10th century, tangerines penetrated areas of western Asia, including Persia (present-day Iran), brought by Mongol warriors and traders traveling along the Silk Road.
The tangerine entered Europe through the port of Tangier in Morocco, which led to the name “tangerine” used in English and French to describe this sweet-sour fruit.
In the 19th century, tangerines also reached North America, where they found a suitable climate in the hot and dry regions of Florida and California.
Today, tangerines are grown around the world in warm climates and are popular in various forms, including fresh fruit, juices, desserts, and essential oils.
To produce quality red tangerine essential oil, the ripe fruit is hand-picked at the optimal time, as the ripeness and quality of the fruit can influence the purity of the oil.
After harvesting, the tangerines are cleaned and sorted, removing any that are damaged or spoiled.
The fruit’s peel is then mechanically pressed to extract the essential oil, which is loaded with compounds that are beneficial to the body.

ADMINISTRATION:
» For internal use, diluted with honey or cooking oil:
Adults: 2-3 drops 2 times a day. The dose is mixed in a teaspoon of honey (diabetics: a quarter of a teaspoon of cooking oil). Use for 7-14 days.
It can be repeated after a 2-week break.
» For internal use, in empty vegetable capsules:
Administration in capsules allows for better assimilation of the oils, as they reach directly into the stomach where they act at the gastric level. Open an empty vegetable capsule, insert the essential oil with the syringe/dropper together with the edible oil according to the instructions on the package.pect, and close the capsule. It is recommended to swallow the capsules immediately.
» For external, topical, diluted use:
To avoid discomfort, drying and irritation of the skin, or even rapid evaporation of essential oils, it is recommended to apply them together with almond or argan oil. In massage therapies, it is recommended to use diluted in oils with a more solid consistency.
Do not apply to open wounds, irritated skin or sunburn. Test a small amount on an area of skin beforehand.
» Aromatherapy, inhalations:
Use in ultrasonic diffusers and aromatherapy lamps. Cold inhalations for relaxation, or hot inhalations (1-3 drops) are recommended.
Packaged in a glass container, with a dropper to:
- obtain a controlled dosage
- not to volatilize the oil upon contact with air
- not to be compromised by external organic matter
