From ancient rituals to contemporary remedies
In ancient tales, three special essential oils were shrouded in mystery and reverence: Frankincense, Peppermint and Turmeric. These oils were not only prized for their enigmatic fragrance, but also for their amazing therapeutic properties.
Today, scientists and alternative medicine experts continue to be fascinated by their health benefits.
When combined, these three essential oils work synergistically to provide effective pain and inflammation relief. Therefore, it can be used both internally, for its anti-inflammatory benefits, and externally, through massage, for relieving joint and muscle pain.
Frankincense (Boswellia sacra):
Oman, the ancestral land of the Bedouin nomads, is known as the place of origin of sacred frankincense, discovered more than 2000 years ago. The Boswellia sacra tree, from which this frankincense is derived, has been a pillar in spiritual rituals for millennia. Frankincense oil, when used in meditation or ceremonies, is believed to open the way to wisdom and mental clarity. Beyond its mystical connotations, Frankincense oil is renowned for its properties in soothing joint pain and inflammation. Applied to the skin, it penetrates deeply, providing a profound sense of relief and revitalization.
Peppermint (Mentha piperita):
Since ancient times, peppermint has been used in Eastern and Western cultures to invigorate the senses and relieve muscle and joint pain. Massaging with this essential oil soothes inflammation and stimulates circulation.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa):
Turmeric (Curcuma/Curcumin) is often referred to as the “yellow gold” of Asia. Used for thousands of years in Ayurveda, turmeric is valued for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric essential oil is believed to be able to be ingested or massaged into the skin to relieve joint pain.
